Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team in Savannah, GA. This is an exceptional opportunity for qualified professionals requiring LMIA and Skilled Worker Visa support to relocate and contribute to a diverse range of challenging projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing structural analysis and design for various building types and infrastructure projects, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring the structural integrity and safety of our designs. You will play a crucial role in delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions while adhering to industry standards and building codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for new construction, renovations, and retrofits using various materials including concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate structural calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, other engineers, project managers, and clients to integrate structural systems with overall project requirements.
  • Review and interpret relevant building codes, standards, and regulations to ensure project compliance.
  • Conduct site visits, condition assessments, and construction administration activities as needed.
  • Utilize advanced structural analysis software and BIM tools to develop and refine designs.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical growth of the team.
  • Manage project tasks and deadlines to ensure timely delivery within budget.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a Structural Engineering emphasis.
  • Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in structural design and analysis.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing licensure with eligibility for reciprocity in Georgia.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of national building codes (e.g., IBC) and design standards (e.g., ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
  • Experience with CAD and BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with complex or specialized structures (e.g., industrial facilities, long-span structures, historical renovations).
  • Familiarity with local Georgia building codes and regulations.
  • Project management experience or PMP certification.
  • LEED AP certification or experience with sustainable design practices.
