Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleanup Laborer to join our team, specifically focused on the meticulous cleaning and maintenance of our olive oil press equipment. This entry-level position is crucial for ensuring our machinery operates efficiently and meets stringent sanitation standards. You will be working in an environment that can be physically demanding and frequently slippery due to the nature of oil processing. Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of olive oil press machinery, tanks, and associated equipment using appropriate tools and cleaning agents.
- Operate high-pressure washers and other cleaning apparatus safely and effectively.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety guidelines and sanitation procedures, especially in slippery conditions.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality concerns to a supervisor immediately.
- Assist with waste removal and disposal, ensuring proper segregation of materials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area before, during, and after shifts.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily cleaning targets and operational goals.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance cleaning techniques and safety awareness.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, bending, and reaching.
- Willingness to work in a wet, oily, and potentially slippery environment with exposure to cleaning chemicals (with proper PPE).
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a industrial cleaning, food processing, or manufacturing environment (not required, but a plus).
