Job Description

Are you passionate about cars but lack the experience to get started? Firestone Complete Auto Care is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a General Service Technician (Trainee)! This is an exceptional opportunity for someone looking to launch a career in the automotive industry. No prior experience is required, and we’ll provide all the comprehensive training you need to succeed, completely free of charge. You don’t even need your own tools to start – we’ve got you covered! You’ll work alongside experienced technicians, learning the ropes of vehicle maintenance and repair in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in our comprehensive paid training program to learn automotive service best practices.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks under supervision.
  • Assist certified technicians with more complex repairs and diagnostics, observing and learning.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the service bay.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections as part of the service process.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies at all times.

Required Skills

  • Eagerness and strong desire to learn the automotive trade.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks associated with automotive service.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Basic understanding or interest in mechanical principles.
