Job Description
Join our dedicated team as an Orchard Maintenance operative. This essential role involves hands-on work in our beautiful orchards, ensuring the health and productivity of our fruit trees. We provide all necessary tools and comprehensive training, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to work outdoors and contribute to a thriving agricultural business. You’ll be part of a friendly team, working day shifts to support the growth and harvesting cycles of our diverse fruit crops.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the health and vigor of fruit trees through pruning, weeding, and general upkeep.
- Assist with irrigation systems setup, monitoring, and maintenance.
- Monitor orchards for pests and diseases, reporting findings to supervisors.
- Participate in fruit thinning and harvesting activities as required.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of orchard areas and equipment.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company procedures.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
