Key Responsibilities
- Safely and compassionately transport patients via wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds to and from various hospital departments (e.g., admissions, discharge, diagnostic areas, operating rooms).
- Assist patients with transferring to and from transport equipment, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Verify patient identification and destination before transport.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding transport status and patient needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment, reporting any issues immediately.
- Respond to transport requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
- Provide basic assistance and emotional support to patients during transport.
- Collaborate with nursing and other clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow.
