Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and practical individual to join our team in Southampton as a Pest Control Exclusion Technician. This is an entry-level position where full training will be provided, making it perfect for someone looking to start a new career with no prior experience in pest control. As an Exclusion Technician, you will play a crucial role in preventing pest infestations by identifying and sealing entry points in residential and commercial buildings. You will learn the best practices for inspecting structures, utilizing various materials to effectively block access for pests, and ensuring the long-term effectiveness of our pest management solutions. This role requires attention to detail, a methodical approach, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of properties to identify potential pest entry points and vulnerabilities.
- Perform exclusion services by sealing gaps, cracks, and other openings in foundations, walls, roofs, and utility lines using appropriate materials (e.g., sealants, mesh, concrete, wood).
- Install and repair pest-proofing materials such as bird netting, vent covers, and door sweeps.
- Communicate effectively with customers about the exclusion process, findings, and preventive measures.
- Document all work performed, materials used, and observations accurately.
- Operate and maintain company tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
