Job Description
Are you seeking a hands-on career where you can learn valuable skills and make a real impact? Terminix is looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Pest Control Exclusion Technician. In this role, you will be trained to identify and seal potential entry points in buildings, preventing pests from entering homes and businesses. No prior experience in pest control is required; we provide comprehensive, paid training to ensure you become an expert in exclusion techniques and pest prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of residential and commercial properties to identify potential pest entry points.
- Utilize various materials and techniques to seal cracks, crevices, gaps, and other openings in foundations, roofs, and walls.
- Install exclusion devices such as mesh, sweeps, and screens to prevent rodent and insect access.
- Document findings and exclusion work performed accurately.
- Communicate effectively with customers about the work being done and preventative measures.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment in good working order.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition, capable of lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- A desire to learn and grow within the pest control industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and general construction/repair techniques (e.g., caulk gun, basic carpentry).
- Previous experience in a service-oriented role.
