Job Description
Are you passionate about pet health and nutrition? Do you love connecting with people and their furry friends? Pawsome Provisions is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Pet Food Store Nutritional Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing expert guidance on pet food, supplements, and general pet care. You will assist pet parents in selecting the best products tailored to their pets’ specific needs, ensuring they leave with confidence and satisfaction. This position requires a love for animals, excellent communication skills, and a desire to continuously learn about pet nutrition trends and products. Full training on our extensive product range and nutritional philosophies will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with customers and their pets, creating a welcoming store environment.
- Provide expert advice and personalized recommendations on pet food, treats, and nutritional supplements.
- Assist customers with product selection, focusing on their pets' dietary needs, age, and health conditions.
- Educate customers on proper pet nutrition and the benefits of specific ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked store, ensuring products are displayed attractively.
- Process sales transactions accurately using our point-of-sale system.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
- Participate in ongoing training and product knowledge sessions.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold company values.
Required Skills
- Genuine passion for animals and their well-being.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a retail environment, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency for POS system operation.
- Strong customer service orientation and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 40 lbs.
