Job Description
We are seeking diligent and detail-oriented individuals to join our production team as Plastic Injection Molding Catchers. In this entry-level, on-site role, you will be responsible for safely removing freshly molded plastic parts from machinery, inspecting them for quality, and trimming excess material. This position is crucial to our manufacturing process, ensuring the smooth flow of production and the high standard of our finished products. Full training will be provided to ensure you are confident and competent in all aspects of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely catch and remove hot plastic parts from injection molding machines as they are ejected.
- Carefully inspect each part for common defects such as flash, short shots, or deformities.
- Utilize trimming tools (e.g., knives, clippers) to remove excess plastic (flash) from molded components.
- Sort and stack finished parts according to established procedures.
- Monitor machine operation for any unusual noises or malfunctions and report them immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with other general production tasks as needed.
