Job Description

O’Brien Plumbing & Bathroom Canberra is excited to offer an entry-level position for a dedicated and enthusiastic Plumber’s Labourer. This is an incredible opportunity for someone eager to learn the plumbing trade from the ground up, with full training provided. You will work alongside experienced plumbers, gaining hands-on knowledge and practical skills in a supportive team environment. Key Responsibilities
- Assist qualified plumbers with various tasks on job sites, including residential and commercial projects.
- Transport tools, equipment, and materials to and from work areas.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including site clean-up and waste removal.
- Prepare materials and equipment as directed by the plumber.
- Learn and apply basic plumbing techniques under supervision.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of company vehicles.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Required Skills
- No prior experience required – full training will be provided!
- Strong eagerness and willingness to learn the plumbing trade.
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
- Valid Australian Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completion of Year 10 or equivalent secondary education.
- White Card (Construction Induction Training) – can be obtained upon employment.
- Any experience in manual labour or trades (even non-plumbing related) is a bonus but not essential.
