Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact in your community? The Aurora Police Department is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Police Community Support Trainees. This entry-level position offers comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to support our officers and engage directly with the public, helping to build trust and address local concerns. No prior experience in law enforcement is required; we provide all the necessary training to help you succeed in this vital role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with community members to address non-emergency inquiries and provide information.
  • Support police officers at incident scenes by managing public access and providing assistance as directed.
  • Conduct community outreach programs and attend local events to foster positive relationships.
  • Identify and report community safety concerns, such as anti-social behavior or environmental issues.
  • Provide support for traffic management during events or incidents.
