Job Description

Alexandria Logistics Hub is looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Seasonal Postal Clerk / Sorter. This entry-level contract position offers comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills required to excel. You will be instrumental in the efficient processing of mail and packages, contributing to the timely delivery of essential communications and goods within our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently sort incoming and outgoing mail and packages by destination or category.
- Operate sorting equipment and scanners to process items accurately.
- Load and unload mail sacks, parcels, and packages from vehicles and conveyor belts.
- Organize and prepare sorted items for distribution or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and operational guidelines.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Basic literacy and communication skills (reading, writing, speaking English).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Reliable, punctual, and possessing a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- No prior experience required; full training will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Familiarity with warehouse or logistics environments (not required, but a plus).
- Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team.
