Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Printing Bindery Assistant to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various manual tasks crucial to the finishing process of printed materials, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail to learn the craft of bindery operations. No prior experience in bindery work is required as full training will be provided to the successful candidate. You will work closely with experienced bindery operators and contribute to the timely completion of print projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual binding tasks such as folding, collating, stitching, and inserting materials by hand.
- Operate basic bindery equipment under supervision.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products, identifying and rectifying any imperfections.
- Prepare finished materials for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist senior bindery staff with machine setup and operation as required.
- Load and unload materials from machines and pallets.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Certificate or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (not essential, but a plus).
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 15kg comfortably.
