Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Supervisor to join our dynamic manufacturing team in Chichester. The successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong leader with a proven track record in manufacturing environments, capable of motivating teams, optimizing processes, and contributing to our continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel, ensuring optimal output and quality.
- Monitor production schedules, workflows, and resource allocation to meet deadlines and targets.
- Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions for any deviations.
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development to the production team.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments, including maintenance, quality control, and logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
- Address and resolve production issues, equipment malfunctions, and personnel concerns promptly.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a production supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on motivation and development.
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety protocols.
- Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
