Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Radiographers or Sonographers to join our dynamic Radiology Department. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including general radiography, CT, MRI, and/or ultrasound, as per qualifications and departmental needs.
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning throughout examinations.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Assess and evaluate imaging results for technical quality, referring complex cases to radiologists.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to effective departmental workflow.
  • Participate in on-call rotas and weekend work as required.
  • Adhere to all relevant clinical governance, health and safety, and professional standards.

Required Skills

  • BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent
  • Current professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligibility to register
  • Demonstrable experience as a Radiographer or Sonographer (minimum 2 years post-qualification)
  • Proficiency in a range of diagnostic imaging modalities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
  • Eligibility for a UK Skilled Worker Visa (sponsorship provided)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in a specialist imaging modality (e.g., Ultrasound, MRI)
  • Experience in a large acute hospital setting
  • Familiarity with NHS systems and protocols
  • Evidence of participation in clinical audit or research
