Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Radiographers or Sonographers to join our dynamic Radiology Department. You will be instrumental in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services, working with state-of-the-art equipment and a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including general radiography, CT, MRI, and/or ultrasound, as per qualifications and departmental needs.
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning throughout examinations.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment according to protocols and safety guidelines.
- Assess and evaluate imaging results for technical quality, referring complex cases to radiologists.
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to effective departmental workflow.
- Participate in on-call rotas and weekend work as required.
- Adhere to all relevant clinical governance, health and safety, and professional standards.
Required Skills
- BSc (Hons) in Radiography or equivalent
- Current professional registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or eligibility to register
- Demonstrable experience as a Radiographer or Sonographer (minimum 2 years post-qualification)
- Proficiency in a range of diagnostic imaging modalities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Eligibility for a UK Skilled Worker Visa (sponsorship provided)
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in a specialist imaging modality (e.g., Ultrasound, MRI)
- Experience in a large acute hospital setting
- Familiarity with NHS systems and protocols
- Evidence of participation in clinical audit or research
