Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and energetic Barbacks / Glass Collectors to join our dynamic team in Darwin. If you thrive in a fast-paced nightlife environment and are committed to supporting a high-performing bar operation, we want to hear from you! As a Barback / Glass Collector, you will be an essential part of our bar team, ensuring our venues run smoothly and efficiently, contributing directly to a positive guest experience. This role demands excellent physical stamina, quick thinking, and a proactive approach in a high-energy setting. You’ll be crucial in maintaining the flow of service and the cleanliness of our vibrant venues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently collecting, washing, and polishing glassware throughout busy shifts.
  • Restocking fridges, ice wells, and spirit displays to ensure continuous service.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization of bar areas, storage rooms, and restrooms.
  • Assisting bartenders with setup and breakdown of the bar, including preparing garnishes and mixers.
  • Emptying bins and managing waste effectively and promptly.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment for both guests and staff.
  • Supporting general venue operations as required, including light maintenance tasks.
  • Responding quickly to requests from bartenders and management to maintain operational efficiency.

Required Skills

  • Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (mandatory in Australia).
  • Excellent physical stamina and ability to work long hours on your feet in a loud, high-energy environment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly under pressure.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (at least 3 months) in a hospitality or nightlife setting (e.g., barback, cleaner, or similar support role).
  • Flexibility to work late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
