Job Description

National Grid is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Trainee Gas/Electricity Inspectors in Bath. This is a fantastic chance to learn a vital trade from the ground up, with full training and support provided. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of our gas and electricity networks, contributing to the reliable delivery of essential services across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in a comprehensive training program to develop expertise in gas and electricity network inspection.
- Assist senior inspectors with routine checks, maintenance, and fault finding on gas and electricity infrastructure.
- Learn to identify potential hazards, defects, and non-compliance issues according to company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Document inspection findings accurately using digital tools and reporting systems.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and potentially members of the public during field operations.
- Undertake continuous professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in utility inspection.
Required Skills

- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting.

- Full valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (for travel to various sites).

Preferred Qualifications
