Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and hardworking Recycling Operatives to join our team in Scarborough. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in processing and sorting recyclable materials, contributing directly to our mission of resource recovery and environmental protection. This physically demanding role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to health and safety standards. You will work as part of a supportive team, ensuring efficient operations at our state-of-the-art recycling facility. Full training on site-specific procedures and equipment will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting various recyclable materials (e.g., plastics, paper, cardboard, glass) on a conveyor belt or designated areas.
- Operating basic machinery and equipment safely as required (after training).
- Conducting quality checks to ensure materials meet processing standards.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with general site duties as directed by supervisors.
- Working effectively as part of a team to achieve daily targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks consistently throughout a shift.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Reliability and punctuality.
