Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Remote Public Policy Researcher to join our dynamic team. This is a 100% remote position, offering significant flexibility in your working hours while contributing to critical public policy initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting comprehensive research, analysing data, and synthesising findings to inform policy recommendations for various public sector clients. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth qualitative and quantitative research on a wide range of public policy issues.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data from various sources, including government reports, academic literature, surveys, and interviews.
- Prepare comprehensive research reports, policy briefs, presentations, and other deliverables for clients.
- Contribute to the development of robust methodologies for policy evaluation and impact assessment.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of current policy developments, legislative changes, and emerging research trends relevant to project work.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops to present findings and gather requirements.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in public policy research or a related field.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, Political Science, Sociology, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Public Policy or a relevant social science field.
- Experience with statistical software packages (e.g., R, SPSS, Stata).
- Familiarity with UK public sector policy landscape.
- Experience in report writing for external clients or publications.
- Project management skills.
