Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our vibrant team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a natural leader with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in restaurant operations. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, driving financial performance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
- Manage profit and loss (P&L) statements, budgeting, and cost control to meet financial targets.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and health and safety compliance.
- Drive customer satisfaction through excellent service and effective complaint resolution.
- Implement marketing initiatives and local promotions to increase sales and brand presence.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and customers.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to CoS processes.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, and operational costs effectively.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
- Demonstrable experience in team development, training, and performance management.
- Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Eligibility for Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) application or existing right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
- Current Food Safety Level 3 certification.
- Experience with Nando's or other similar casual dining brands.
- Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
