Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant General Manager to lead our vibrant team in Milton Keynes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a natural leader with a passion for hospitality and a proven track record in restaurant operations. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, driving financial performance, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Manage profit and loss (P&L) statements, budgeting, and cost control to meet financial targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, hygiene, and health and safety compliance.
  • Drive customer satisfaction through excellent service and effective complaint resolution.
  • Implement marketing initiatives and local promotions to increase sales and brand presence.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimise waste and maximise efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and customers.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to CoS processes.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Restaurant General Manager or Assistant General Manager in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage P&L, budgets, and operational costs effectively.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service orientation with a passion for creating memorable experiences.
  • Demonstrable experience in team development, training, and performance management.
  • Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Eligibility for Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) application or existing right to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Current Food Safety Level 3 certification.
  • Experience with Nando's or other similar casual dining brands.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and POS systems.
