Job Description
As the Restaurant General Manager for Foodland Super Market, Ltd. in Kailua, you will be instrumental in overseeing all aspects of our prepared foods and deli operations. This critical leadership role involves managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high food quality and safety standards, and driving financial performance. You will be responsible for creating a positive and productive work environment, developing your team, and contributing to the overall success of our store. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the prepared foods, deli, and bakery departments, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local and federal food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control effectively to achieve and exceed financial targets.
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards and promptly address customer feedback to ensure satisfaction.
- Develop and implement local marketing initiatives and promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency to uphold brand standards.
- Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and conduct performance evaluations to support team growth.
- Ensure efficient operations and adherence to all company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with other store departments and the broader management team to ensure seamless store operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (5+ years) in food service or restaurant management, including supervisory roles.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and motivational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of interacting with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices (e.g., HACCP principles).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- A customer-focused mindset with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Experience with inventory management and ordering systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience managing a high-volume deli, prepared foods, or restaurant department within a retail grocery setting.
- Local market knowledge of Kailua and surrounding areas.
- Current ServSafe Manager Certification.
- Proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office applications.
