Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Roof Tile Packer to join our manufacturing team in Mackay. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient packing of roof tiles, ensuring they meet quality standards and are prepared for dispatch. This is a physically demanding role requiring attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. We offer regular shifts, weekly pay, and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate machinery and equipment to pack roof tiles according to specifications.
- Inspect tiles for defects, cracks, or damage before packing.
- Ensure correct quantities and types of tiles are packed.
- Securely stack and label packed tiles on pallets for storage or transport.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist with inventory counts and material handling as required.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment.
