Job Description

EMR Metal Recycling is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Trainee Scrap Metal Crane Operator to join our team in Sunderland. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training from the ground up. Key Responsibilities

  • Undergo and successfully complete all provided training on crane operation and safety procedures.
  • Learn to safely operate overhead and mobile cranes to sort, load, and unload scrap metal materials.
  • Assist with the organization and proper stacking of materials in designated areas.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on machinery and report any defects or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs.
