Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and vigilant Security Guard to join our team in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. This full-time, on-site role is crucial for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting property, preventing loss and damage, and ensuring the safety of personnel and visitors. Key Responsibilities
- Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Control access to the building and direct visitors appropriately.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Apprehend trespassers and violators of security procedures.
- Write reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Maintain a safe environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures.
- Provide assistance to employees and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Required Skills
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding license (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent observation and vigilance skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy for report writing and surveillance monitoring.
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond to incidents.
- A strong sense of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a security role.
- First Aid / Emergency First Response certification.
- Full UK Driving License and access to own transport.
- Customer service experience.
