Job Description
Are you passionate about technology and eager to kickstart a career in the rapidly growing field of smart home automation? Bell Canada is looking for a Tech-Savvy Smart Home Automation Installer (Trainee) to join our dynamic team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. No prior experience is required – we provide all the tools, comprehensive training, and support you’ll need to succeed. This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for individuals with a strong aptitude for technology, a desire to learn, and excellent problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and troubleshooting smart home devices and systems, ensuring a seamless and exceptional experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive training on smart home technologies and installation procedures.
- Install and configure a variety of smart home devices, including security cameras, smart thermostats, lighting systems, and door locks.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve technical issues at customer sites.
- Educate customers on how to use their new smart home systems and answer any questions they may have.
- Ensure all installations meet Bell Canada's quality standards and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, service calls, and customer interactions.
- Manage company-provided tools and equipment effectively and responsibly.
- Adhere to scheduling requirements and complete installations in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for technology and smart home products.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technical concepts quickly.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments (attics, crawl spaces).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Basic understanding of home networking concepts (Wi-Fi, routers).
- Familiarity with common hand and power tools.
- Post-secondary education in a technical field is a plus but not required.
