Job Description
Are you looking for an opportunity to start a rewarding career in food manufacturing? Prairie Harvest Foods is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team as Spice Blending & Packaging Workers on the Day Shift. No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the skills needed to succeed! In this hands-on role, you will be an essential part of our production line, contributing to the creation of high-quality spice blends and ensuring they are perfectly packaged for our customers. Enjoy a dynamic work environment with a consistent day schedule and the pleasant aroma of fresh spices daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and blend various spices according to established recipes and production orders.
- Operate and monitor packaging machinery, including filling, sealing, and labeling equipment.
- Perform quality checks on raw materials and finished products to ensure adherence to company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety (HACCP, GMP) and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving, storing, and organizing spice ingredients.
- Load and unload materials and finished products, requiring some physical exertion.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet daily production targets.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
Required Skills
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Capable of performing repetitive tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Basic understanding of weights and measurements (training provided).
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or food production environment (not required, but a plus).
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or HACCP principles.
