Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Stable Hand to join our team for part-time morning shifts. If you have a genuine passion for horses, are reliable, and enjoy working outdoors, this could be the perfect role for you. This position is vital to the daily operation of our stables, ensuring the comfort and well-being of our beloved horses before our daily rides commence. Full training will be provided, so prior professional experience, while beneficial, is not a strict requirement; your willingness to learn and commitment to animal care are what truly matter.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily mucking out of stables, paddocks, and yards to maintain a clean and hygienic environment for horses.
- Prepare and distribute feed and fresh water according to established feeding schedules and dietary requirements.
- Assist with grooming, rugging, and general horse care, ensuring all horses are comfortable and well-maintained.
- Assist with tacking and untacking horses for rides, ensuring equipment is clean and in good working order.
- Monitor horses for any signs of injury, illness, or distress, reporting concerns promptly to senior staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tack rooms, feed rooms, and other stable facilities.
- Support with general property maintenance tasks as required, including fence checks and tidying grounds.
