Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Stable Hand to join our team for part-time morning shifts at our equestrian facility in Newman. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals with a genuine passion for horses, eager to learn and contribute to their daily care and well-being. No prior professional stable experience is required, as full training will be provided. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and nurturing environment for our horses, ensuring they receive the best possible care. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily mucking out and bedding down of stables, ensuring cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Prepare and distribute feed and water according to individual horse diets and schedules.
  • Monitor horses for any signs of illness, injury, or distress and report findings to management.
  • Assist with basic grooming, rugging, and turnout of horses.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tack rooms, feed sheds, and communal areas.
  • Safely handle horses during daily routines, including leading and securing.
  • Assist with general facility maintenance, including sweeping, tidying, and minor repairs.
  • Follow all safety protocols and animal welfare guidelines rigorously.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
