Job Description
Join RBC as a State/Provincial Revenue Mail Sorter in our active Hamilton office. This entry-level position is crucial for the efficient processing of incoming mail related to provincial revenue, ensuring timely and accurate handling of sensitive documents. You will be part of a dedicated team responsible for a vital function, contributing directly to the operational excellence of our provincial services division. Full training will be provided to ensure your success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Open and sort incoming mail, prioritizing revenue-related documents.
- Verify contents against accompanying documentation and prepare for further processing.
- Operate mail sorting equipment and other office machinery as required.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling sensitive financial information.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality and data security protocols.
- Organize and store processed mail and documents in designated areas.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all daily targets are met.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the team lead promptly.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
- Excellent communication skills.
