Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Storesperson Offsider to join our dynamic warehouse team in Burnie, Tasmania. This is a full-time position offering stable work and weekly pay, providing essential support to our warehouse operations. As an Offsider, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement and organization of goods, contributing to the smooth flow of our supply chain. You will work alongside experienced Storespersons, assisting with various tasks from receiving to dispatch, maintaining a tidy and safe work environment, and ensuring all procedures are followed accurately. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the receiving, checking, and unloading of incoming goods and deliveries.
- Support the picking and packing of orders for dispatch, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Help organize and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Assist in loading outgoing trucks and vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all WHS policies.
- Perform general warehouse duties as directed by the Storesperson or Team Leader.
- Operate manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks and trolleys.
- Conduct routine checks of stock levels and report discrepancies.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving items.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures diligently.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even if informal).
- Current Australian Driver's License.
- Forklift license (LF) or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
