Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Student Property Intern to join our Valuation & Leasing team in Mount Gambier. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity for a university student to gain practical, hands-on experience in the commercial property sector. You will assist our experienced professionals with property valuations, market research, and leasing activities, contributing to real-world projects and developing a foundational understanding of the industry. Full training and mentorship will be provided, making this an ideal role for someone with no prior experience but a strong desire to learn and contribute.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with market research and data collection for property valuations and leasing proposals.
- Support the preparation of valuation reports, client presentations, and marketing materials.
- Accompany senior valuers and leasing agents on property inspections.
- Maintain and update property databases and client relationship management (CRM) systems.
- Conduct competitor analysis and identify market trends within the Mount Gambier region.
- Respond to general inquiries and provide administrative support to the team as needed.
- Learn to interpret property data, financial statements, and lease agreements.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program (e.g., Property, Business, Commerce, Finance or related field).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- High level of initiative, eagerness to learn, and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- No prior property industry experience required; full training provided.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with data entry or research projects.
- A current Australian driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Basic understanding of property concepts or a strong interest in real estate economics.
- Ability to commit to the internship for a minimum of 3-6 months.
