Job Description

Are you passionate about creating engaging experiences and fostering a vibrant student community? Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Student Union & Activities Programming Intern to join our dynamic team. This entry-level internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event planning, program development, and student engagement within a higher education setting. You will work closely with our Student Life team, contributing to the planning, promotion, and execution of various campus activities, while developing valuable professional skills in a supportive environment. This role is perfect for someone eager to learn the ropes of student affairs and make a tangible impact on student life. Full training and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of student events, workshops, and recreational activities.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative programming ideas that cater to a diverse student body.
  • Support the promotion of events through various communication channels, including social media, posters, and campus newsletters.
  • Help manage event logistics, including booking venues, arranging equipment, and coordinating volunteers.
  • Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to enhance student life initiatives.
  • Gather feedback from students to inform future programming decisions.
  • Perform administrative tasks as needed to support the Student Union and Activities department.
