Job Description
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive TAFE Admin Coordinator to join our Vocational Education team at the Blacktown campus. This vital role supports the efficient delivery of our vocational programs by managing administrative processes, coordinating resources, and providing exceptional service to students and staff. You will be instrumental in ensuring a smooth and effective learning environment, contributing directly to the success of our students and the reputation of TAFE NSW.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all administrative functions related to vocational education programs.
- Maintain accurate student records, course documentation, and compliance paperwork.
- Assist with student enrolment, orientation, and progression processes.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to teaching staff, program managers, and Head Teachers.
- Manage scheduling, room bookings, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance requests.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for student and public inquiries, providing accurate information and guidance.
- Process invoices, requisitions, and support basic financial record-keeping as required.
- Ensure strict adherence to TAFE NSW policies, procedures, and relevant VET sector regulations.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for program review and operational needs.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative experience, ideally within an educational or vocational training environment.
- Exceptional organisational and time management capabilities with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear and professional interaction.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all administrative duties.
- Excellent customer service skills with a student-centric approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Certificate III or IV in Business Administration, Office Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience utilising student management systems (e.g., Tribal SITS, PeopleSoft, or similar CRM/SMS platforms).
- Familiarity with the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector and its regulatory frameworks.
- Previous experience working in a large, complex organisation.
