Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Seasonal Tennis Court Maintenance Worker to join our groundskeeping team in Chelsea, London. This role is crucial for ensuring our public and club tennis courts are in pristine condition throughout the playing season. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the upkeep of hard, artificial grass, and potentially clay courts, contributing to a high-quality experience for players. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inspections of tennis courts for damage, debris, or hazards.
  • Clean court surfaces, including sweeping, brushing, and removing leaves, twigs, and other litter.
  • Assist with line marking and repainting as needed to maintain clear court boundaries.
  • Monitor and maintain court equipment such as nets, posts, and windbreaks.
  • Carry out minor repairs to court surfaces, fencing, and surrounding areas under supervision.
  • Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., blowers, pressure washers, ride-on sweepers).
  • Assist with watering and rolling clay courts if applicable.
  • Report any major damage or maintenance issues to the Grounds Manager promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard.
