Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Textile Specialist to join our apparel team. This role is crucial for maintaining the high standards of quality and innovation expected from our textile products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of textile properties, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance within the apparel industry. You will be instrumental in evaluating materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting our product development and sourcing initiatives to bring exceptional fashion to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough textile material evaluations, including testing for durability, colorfastness, shrinkage, and overall quality.
- Collaborate with design and product development teams to select appropriate fabrics and materials for new apparel collections.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure textile quality standards are met at all stages of production.
- Perform regular quality control checks on incoming textile shipments and finished apparel products.
- Research and identify new textile innovations, sustainable materials, and emerging trends in fabric technology.
- Provide technical guidance and support to suppliers and internal teams regarding textile specifications and performance.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of textile testing results, quality reports, and material specifications.
- Assist in resolving textile-related issues, including material defects or performance concerns.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and safety standards for textile products.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of various textile fibers, fabrics, and their properties.
- Proven experience with textile testing methodologies and quality control procedures.
