Key Responsibilities
- Complete comprehensive training to obtain your PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence, fully funded by Stagecoach.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company operating procedures.
- Safely transport passengers along designated routes, ensuring timely and comfortable journeys.
- Provide exceptional customer service, assisting passengers with enquiries and ensuring their welfare.
- Operate ticketing equipment and handle fares accurately.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure the bus is safe and roadworthy.
- Report any vehicle defects or incidents promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean and tidy bus environment for passengers.
Required Skills
- A valid UK driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Minimum of 2 years driving experience (car or van).
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with the Wigan area and local road network.
- A passion for public transport and community service.
