Job Description
Riverbend Agri-Solutions is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-time Farm Hand to join our team in Bathurst. This general farm hand role involves a variety of duties across our agricultural operations, working a consistent day roster. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, physically fit, and committed to contributing to a productive and safe farm environment. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or further their career in agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with general crop planting, maintenance, and harvesting activities.
- Feeding and monitoring livestock health and welfare.
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment (training provided).
- Performing general farm maintenance tasks, including fencing, weeding, and cleaning.
- Assisting with irrigation systems setup and monitoring.
- Adhering to all farm safety protocols and animal welfare standards.
- Reporting any issues or observations to the farm manager.
Required Skills
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a farm or outdoor labor environment (even if limited).
- Basic mechanical aptitude or experience with tools.
- Knowledge of basic first aid.
- Current Australian driver's license.
