Job Description

The London Fire Brigade is offering an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Fire Inspector to join our team in Edmonton, London. This entry-level position is designed for individuals with no prior experience in fire safety, providing comprehensive training and development to become a fully qualified Fire Inspector. Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in a structured training program to develop a comprehensive understanding of fire safety legislation, standards, and inspection procedures.

  • Assist in conducting routine fire safety inspections, identifying potential hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Learn to interpret and apply relevant fire safety regulations, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
  • Support the documentation process by accurately recording findings, preparing reports, and maintaining inspection records.
  • Communicate effectively with building owners, managers, and occupants regarding fire safety requirements and recommendations.
  • Undertake continuous professional development as required by the role and the LFB.
  • Contribute to public fire safety education initiatives where appropriate.

Required Skills

  • A strong desire to learn and develop a career in public safety.

  • Good written English skills for report writing and documentation.

Preferred Qualifications
