Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to kickstart your career in logistics with no prior experience? DHL Supply Chain is offering a fantastic Trainee Forklift Driver position in Bermondsey, London. We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals who are eager to learn and gain a valuable, industry-recognised forklift licence. This full-time role comes with a fully funded training program, meaning we cover the cost of your counterbalance and reach truck licence, setting you up for success in a crucial role within our warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities
- Participate actively in and complete comprehensive forklift training program (counterbalance and reach truck).
- Operate forklift equipment safely and efficiently once trained and certified, under supervision initially.
- Load, unload, and move products and materials within the warehouse, following all safety protocols.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required, including picking, packing, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
- No prior forklift experience required – full training provided.
- Strong willingness to learn and commitment to safety.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations (preferred but not essential).
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or manual labour environment is a plus, but not required.
- A positive attitude and a desire for continuous improvement.
