Key Responsibilities
- Learn and apply fundamental bookkeeping principles under the guidance of senior staff.
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Support the processing of invoices, expense reports, and petty cash transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents under supervision.
- Prepare basic financial reports and summaries as directed.
- Maintain organized and accurate physical and electronic financial files.
- Adhere to municipal financial policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong aptitude for numbers and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
