Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Tariff & Trade Classifier. This entry-level position requires no prior experience, as full, comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel. You will learn the intricacies of tariff classification, trade regulations, and compliance, playing a crucial role in supporting businesses navigating complex international trade landscapes. Key Responsibilities
- Undergo comprehensive training on tariff classification, customs regulations, and international trade compliance.
- Assist senior classifiers in researching and applying tariff codes to a wide range of goods.
- Support the analysis of product specifications and trade documentation to determine correct classifications.
- Maintain accurate records and databases of classification decisions and supporting documentation.
- Learn to interpret and apply relevant legislation, guidance, and trade agreements.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate classification services.
- Participate in internal training sessions and professional development programs.
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical aptitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new information and systems.

Preferred Qualifications
- A-Levels or equivalent qualifications, preferably in a subject requiring research or analytical skills.

- Proficiency in additional languages (not essential but a plus).
