Job Description

Are you passionate about technology and eager to kick-start a career in tech support but lack the experience? This is the perfect opportunity for you! Currys is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Trainee Tech Support Advisors in our Slough store. We don’t expect you to be an expert from day one; we provide comprehensive, hands-on training covering a wide array of gadgets and systems. You’ll learn to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve customer tech issues, becoming a trusted advisor and the go-to person for all things tech. This is an in-store role where you’ll interact directly with customers, making a tangible difference to their tech experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in-store to understand their tech support needs and provide friendly, helpful advice.
  • Learn to diagnose common issues with a variety of electrical products, including laptops, mobile phones, tablets, and smart home devices.
  • Perform basic repairs and software troubleshooting under supervision, following established procedures.
  • Guide customers through setup processes for new devices and services.
  • Explain technical information clearly and simply to non-technical customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service requests.
  • Keep up-to-date with new product releases and technological advancements through provided training.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
