Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Treasury Manager to join our dynamic finance team in Canary Wharf. This role is crucial for managing the company’s financial risk, optimizing cash flow, overseeing investment strategies, and maintaining strong banking relationships. The Treasury Manager will play a key role in ensuring the liquidity, stability, and profitability of HSBC, contributing significantly to our global financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily cash positions and short-term liquidity, ensuring optimal cash utilization.
  • Develop and implement treasury policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Oversee foreign exchange risk management, including hedging strategies and execution.
  • Manage banking relationships, negotiating terms and services to support global operations.
  • Prepare comprehensive treasury reports, including cash flow forecasts, variance analysis, and risk assessments for senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal controls, financial regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement treasury technology solutions to enhance efficiency and control.
  • Support capital markets activities and debt management strategies.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the treasury team.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in treasury management within a large corporate or financial institution.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and risk management techniques.
  • Proficiency in treasury management systems (TMS) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex global environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ACT (Associate of Corporate Treasurers) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst).
  • Experience with specific TMS platforms (e.g., SAP Treasury, Kyriba, FIS Integras).
  • Experience in a multinational banking environment.
