Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Venture Capital Deal Flow Intern to join our team in Sugar Land, TX. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of venture capital. You will play a crucial role in supporting our investment team by identifying promising startups, conducting market research, and assisting with various aspects of the deal sourcing process. This is an entry-level position ideal for individuals eager to learn and contribute to a growing investment firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct extensive market research to identify emerging trends, new technologies, and potential investment opportunities.
- Actively source and evaluate early-stage startups through various channels, including online platforms, industry events, and networking.
- Perform initial screening of pitch decks and executive summaries, assessing business models, market fit, and team strength.
- Assist in maintaining and updating our CRM system with detailed information on potential deals and companies.
- Prepare concise summaries and reports on interesting companies for internal review.
- Support the investment team with ad-hoc research projects and data analysis.
- Engage with startup founders and ecosystem partners to build and nurture relationships.
Required Skills
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- High level of curiosity and a proactive attitude.
- Demonstrated interest in technology, startups, entrepreneurship, or venture capital.

Preferred Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience with market research tools or CRM software is a plus.
- Involvement in entrepreneurial clubs, startup competitions, or relevant academic projects.
- Basic understanding of financial modeling or valuation concepts (not required, but beneficial).
