Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support and crisis intervention to victims of crime.
- Explain victims' rights and the criminal justice process in clear, accessible language.
- Assist victims in navigating court procedures, including preparing for court appearances.
- Liaise with law enforcement, prosecutors, and other community agencies on behalf of victims.
- Refer victims to appropriate community resources, such as counseling, housing, or financial assistance.
- Maintain accurate and confidential victim case records.
- Participate in community outreach and education initiatives.
- Complete all required training and professional development programs.
Required Skills
- Exceptional empathy and compassion.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Florida Driver's License or ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish or Haitian Creole).
- Volunteer experience in social services or community support roles.
- Familiarity with Palm Beach County community resources.
