Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Virtual Newsletter Editor with a strong understanding of digital media strategy to join our dynamic team. This 100% remote role involves curating, editing, and distributing engaging email newsletters that drive audience engagement and support our broader digital content initiatives. You will be instrumental in optimizing content for email, analyzing performance, and implementing strategies to grow our subscriber base and increase readership.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and proofread daily and weekly newsletters for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with content creators, journalists, and marketing teams to source relevant and compelling content.
- Implement A/B testing strategies for subject lines, content placement, and calls-to-action to optimize engagement.
- Monitor newsletter performance using analytics tools and provide regular reports on key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Stay informed about email marketing best practices, industry trends, and new technologies.
- Manage subscriber lists, ensuring data hygiene and segmentation for targeted campaigns.
- Contribute to the overall digital media strategy, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement in our email communication.
- Ensure all newsletters comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other relevant email marketing regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in content editing and copywriting, with a strong grasp of grammar and style.
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze).
- Basic understanding of HTML for email templates.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
