Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Virtual Veteran Support Representative to join our Public Sector team. This is a 100% remote position where you will play a crucial role in providing essential support and resources to our nation’s veterans. You will be the primary point of contact, assisting veterans with inquiries related to benefits, healthcare, education, and other critical services. Your ability to navigate complex information, provide clear guidance, and demonstrate compassion will directly contribute to improving the lives of those who have served. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to service, and the ability to work effectively in a virtual environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive virtual support to veterans, answering inquiries regarding a wide range of public sector benefits and resources.
  • Guide veterans through application processes for various programs, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information.
  • Research and provide accurate, up-to-date information on policies, procedures, and eligibility criteria relevant to veteran services.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all interactions and case statuses in a secure database.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve complex veteran support issues.
  • Demonstrate empathy, patience, and active listening skills in all interactions.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality and data security protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay informed about changes in veteran benefits and support programs.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service, support, or administrative role.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and experience navigating digital platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a 100% remote work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • A strong commitment to serving veterans and their families.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with veteran affairs, government agencies, or public sector support programs.
  • Personal connection to the military community (e.g., veteran, military spouse, or family member).
  • Familiarity with federal and state veteran benefits and resources.
  • Experience with case management systems or customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
