Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and self-motivated Warehouse Janitorial Staff member to maintain the cleanliness and order of our Virginia Beach distribution center. This role is essential for providing a safe and pleasant working environment for all team members. You will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, working independently to ensure all designated areas meet our high standards of hygiene and presentation. This is an on-site position requiring attention to detail and a proactive approach to facility upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and dusting surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and office areas regularly.
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Restock supplies in restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas.
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, and mirrors.
- Operate cleaning equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to management.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols established by the company.
- Identify and report any maintenance needs or safety hazards.
Required Skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (up to 25 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a janitorial or similar cleaning role, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment.
