Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Warehouse Operative to join our fast-paced fulfillment center in Sheffield. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be an integral part of our operations, helping to ensure the smooth flow of products from receiving to dispatch. Full training will be provided, so no prior experience is necessary – we welcome individuals eager to learn and grow within a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and unload incoming goods, verifying quantities and checking for damages.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders according to quality standards and deadlines.
- Prepare items for shipment, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (training provided).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and quality control checks.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry items weighing up to 15kg for extended periods.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading labels and counting inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even if limited).
- Experience with handheld scanners or inventory management systems.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
