Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Tuggerah Distribution Centre as a Part-time Afternoon Shift Warehouse Sorter. This is an excellent opportunity for quick hiring and offers comprehensive training, making it perfect for those looking to start a career in logistics or gain valuable warehouse experience. You’ll be a vital part of our team, ensuring products are accurately sorted and ready for dispatch to our stores. The afternoon shift typically runs from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with potential for weekend shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately sort and scan incoming and outgoing merchandise.
- Load and unload goods from vehicles as required.
- Safely move products using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, trolleys).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Required Skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Physical fitness and capability to lift and move packages up to 20kg repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate sorting and scanning.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures (training provided).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment (even short-term or casual).
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or scanning technology.
- Current forklift license (not essential, but an advantage).
